Leilani Gallardo truly represents what it means to be a Rising Star at Norwood High School. Leilani works incredibly hard in all of her classes and never gives up. She takes ownership of her work and her maturity is remarkable. What truly sets Leilani apart, though, is her kindness. At the start of the school year, when her class created a classroom contract, her additions were simple and powerful: “Be kind” and “No judging.” Those aren’t just words to her, they’re values she lives by every day. She is welcoming to new students, inclusive of her peers, and always willing to help others. On top of her academic dedication, Leilani is a committed athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball.
